STRONG START AT NEW EGYPT'S

ROCKTOBERFEST HAS A FLAT ENDING ..

 

October 16th, 2010, New Egypt Speedway:  A few short days after returning home from Syracuse New York, Team Lineman got busy and loaded up Bob Juniors Sportsman Modified and set the course for New Egypt Speedway. The team decided to race in the Rocktoberfest event which was being held at the track, and was sure to bring in some heavy hitters from out of state whose seasons have already ended.

 

Bob started the night off on a key note, as he drew the 2nd starting spot in his heat race. The track was fast, and so was the competition, but Bob Jr. took it all in stride as he kept his cool and maintained his 2nd place spot throughout the heat event. Qualifying was finished, and no need to race in the consi, a solid second place finish in the heat race was like money in the bank.

 

The feature watched Lineman start 9th in his Cenco Heating Oil, Troyer Chassis, Medford Speed sponsored USA-1. Early on in the event Bob was involved in an accident and quickly went into the pits under his own power while the yellow was out. Everything looked alright and Bob rejoined the field at the rear of the pack. Seven laps later the left rear tire went flat under green and that was enough to end Bob's night, as the team didn't have a chance to change the tire under green flag race conditions.
