Lineman produces a solid 3rd place run in the Feature

New Egypt Speedway 05.15.10 Race Recap

 

What a difference a week off can do for you, and that is just what it did for Bob Lineman, Jr. After having what looked to be two promising starts end before the nights completion, Lineman and his crew worked very hard with the week off in the schedule to make sure everything was just right for this past weekends return.

 

Heat action saw Lineman once again having the power he needed to secure himself in the nights feature event. Bob finished the heat race in 2nd place, which is where he finished two weeks before, and the opening race he secured an opening night heat win. The crew went to work, and were trying to figure out on the right set up for the main event. With the track surface changing from the heat action the guys waited until the last possible moment to make their final changes to the chassis.

 

Feature time came and Lineman looked really good, and for the first time in 3 starts he would get that elusive checkered flag by finishing out the event with no gremlins getting in his way. Bob took the USA-1 Cenco Heating Oil, Troyer Chassis, and finished in 3rd place, which was a solid feature run. After the event Bob commented, "well, it was a lot better weekend this week, but I just have to work on the set up a little, and get more laps on the track".

 

There could be a possible tow to the Five Mile Point Speedway on Saturday, or even a visit to Big Diamond on Friday night, neither is official yet, so stop back and check the schedule.
