Race Demons Once Again Sideline Lineman During The Feature New Egypt Speedway 05.01.10 Race Recap
Thinking everything under the hood was in order, and the ignition issue was behind him, Bob Lineman, Jr. put his game face on and once again climbed behind the wheel of the potent USA-1 Modified. Starting near the rear in his qualifying heat this would be the first test to see if the opening nights magic of being so fast in the heat would repeat itself once again. Well, Lineman did not disappoint the fans, as he came through the pack and just ran out of laps, otherwise he would have taken another heat win, but finishing 2nd meant that he was moving right to the feature, and that is always a win in itself.
Feature time came and Bob would start in 3rd. Lineman had a great battle with his fellow competitors, who traded spots in the top 5 as the event went on. But then, like a dark cloud out of nowhere it happened, the USA-1 with a mere 5 laps to go went silent once more. The engine just shut off with 5 to go, and Bob was forced to pull into the pits and of course he was finished for the night, and having to settle for a 24th place finish.
The team is working on the busy working on the issue, not really sure at this point what the problem is, but they are confident they will get it fixed and will be back on track and ready to race at New Egypt on May 15th. Come on out and show your support for Bob and the Lineman Race Team.
