Welcome to the Official Site of Lineman Racing
2010 marks the 36th consecutive racing season that the Lineman Family has been involved with local auto racing. While many changes have happened during the past 36 years in local short track racing, one thing that hasn't changed is the focus, determination and dedication that has become known with the Lineman name in racing. During the beginning when Bob Lineman Sr. started racing dirt modifieds his goal was not only to win races, but to also present himself, and his equipment in a way that still stands clear today, with class.
I remember watching Bob Sr. at Grandview and always admiring how cool his cars looked, they stood out, and even if you didn't have a clue who Bob Lineman was, one thing was for sure, many, many fans in the stands would clap and cheer for that USA 1 when he was announced in the starting lineup for the nights feature event. I was there in 1990 when he drove that USA 1 into Victory Lane at Grandview, and that place was rocking, the fans loved it, and it was probably one of the best racing memories Bob has, I mean if you can win at Grandview my friends, you can win at any dirt track.
The Next Generation of Lineman Racers are back again in 2010, standing proudly with their Dad's new USA-1 Modified!
In recent years there has been a passing of the torch, you see now the second generation of Lineman men has been successful behind the wheel of a potent USA 1 branded modified. Bob Lineman Jr. has been racing since 2000 in the modified ranks, and it didn't take him long to find his way around one of the fastest dirt tracks on the east coast, the famed 5/8th mile Bridgeport Speedway. Bob Jr. much like his Father has always stood out among many other cars on the track, maybe it has something to do with the USA 1 number that is blazed on the sides, and roof of the car, or maybe it's the fact that being an American, and being proud of it ranks on the top of our lists. In only his second season Bob Jr. collected his first career feature win at Bridgeport, and since then he has been back to visit victory lane on many occasions.
Yet another new chapter has dawned for Lineman Racing, when they decided to open their doors and start their own Speed Shop, which includes being one of the area's largest suppliers of Troyer Racing Chassis, while also priding itself on having a fine selection of racing parts in stock at all times. If you need it for your modified, then I suggest you call Lineman Racing, from complete cars down to the smallest of items like Dzus buttons, they have what you need. In the coming months we will be adding an online catalog with detailed information on each of the products that we carry and letting you check out just what you need in order to get the job done. In the meantime don't hesitate to call, or email us at Lineman Racing, we are here and ready to help you with whatever you need, just like our focus, determination, and dedication that we have when we are racing, you will see when we are taking care of you, the customer.
